Seller rules

What a shop on After Dark may sell, what it owes a buyer, and what gets a listing taken down.

These are the operating rules for a shop on After Dark. United States law applies to every sale on top of them.

United States only

  • After Dark is open to sellers based in the United States.
  • A shop delivers to United States addresses only. Checkout refuses a shipping address anywhere else.
  • Member sites and the admin are served in the United States only. A visitor from another country is turned away with a short page saying so.

The member is the seller

  • The member sells to the buyer. After Dark hosts the shop and verifies the payment on chain; it does not own, stock, inspect, or resell anything a shop lists, and it never holds the money.
  • That leaves the member answerable for the goods, the listing, the price, the delivery, and the buyer.
  • Every sale settles as native USDC into the member's own self-custody wallet, in the same transaction that pays the platform fee. The member alone controls that wallet and anything owed out of it.

Lawful goods, accurate listings

  • Everything a shop lists has to be legal to sell and legal to deliver in the United States.
  • A listing describes the actual item: its condition, who made it, what is in the box, and what it does.
  • A listing claims no endorsement, certification, test result, or approval the product does not hold.
  • A shop lists what it can actually supply, at the price it will actually honor.

Not allowed at launch

This list is where After Dark starts, not where it ends. It is deliberately broad: the platform is new, and a category that needs a license, an age check, or a recall process is one it cannot support yet.

Regulated and high-risk goods
Anything needing a license, permit, prescription, or age check to sell.
Counterfeits and infringement
Replicas, fakes, unauthorized copies, and anything trading on someone else's brand, artwork, or writing without permission.
Recalled, unsafe, and stolen goods
Including anything under an active safety recall, and anything a shop cannot show it owns.
Adult content and services
Pornography, sexual services, and adult products of any kind.
Gambling
Lotteries, betting, sweepstakes, raffles, and games of chance.
Drugs, cannabis, and CBD
Controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, cannabis, and CBD in every form, hemp-derived included.
Weapons and explosives
Firearms, ammunition, components, knives sold as weapons, explosives, and fireworks.
Medical, pharmaceutical, and supplement claims
No prescription or pharmaceutical products, no medical devices, and nothing sold on a claim that it treats, cures, prevents, or diagnoses a condition. Supplements sold on a health claim are covered by this.
Financial schemes
Investments, lending, debt relief, cryptocurrency offerings, multi-level marketing, and money-making programs.
Sanctions and export violations
No sale to a sanctioned person, country, or region, and no export a United States rule forbids.

Unsure whether something belongs here? Treat it as prohibited and list something else. A shop that has already listed one of these takes the listing down.

Shipping and refunds

  • An order is shipped or it is refunded. A shop that cannot ship an order refunds it.
  • State a dispatch time on the listing and keep to it.
  • Answer a buyer who asks where their order is.
  • A refund is a USDC transfer from the member's wallet back to the wallet that paid. The platform cannot make it, because the platform never holds the money.

Membership and account credits

  • A SOL deposit becomes account credits in dollars. Credits pay the monthly membership and any page read you buy.
  • Credits are not refundable and never convert back to crypto. They are spendable only on After Dark.
  • Your sales wallet is separate and always yours: buyers pay it directly, and you can move that money whenever you like.

Reporting and enforcement

  • Every shop on After Dark carries a Report this store link in its footer. Anyone can use it, buyer or not.
  • Reports go to a review queue. Nothing is removed automatically: taking a listing down or closing a shop is a decision a person makes.
  • After Dark can remove a listing or close a shop that breaks these rules.
  • These rules will change as the platform grows. Read them again before a shop sells into a category it has not sold in before.
